Twisted oaks, Padley Gorge

​My favourite image from a long and thoroughly enjoyable day in Padley Gorge. Autumn colours perhaps not at their very best but these wonderfully gnarly oaks and boulders, covered in moss, needed little embellishment. This is a shifted pano made from three frames using a tilt/shift lens. I was thrilled when this image was shortlisted in Wildlife Photographer of the Year (WPOTY) 2014.
