The sentinel, Glen Shiel

This diminutive rowan tree, perched on a rock as if to gain extra height, caught my eye as I drove down Glen Shiel on a wet, autumnal morning. Thankfully the rain abated and the clouds lifted just enough to give a tantalising glimpse of the mountainous backdrop beyond.
