Summer view towards Arden Great Moor

A beautiful summer’s evening near Osmotherley – looking across over Dale Head towards Arden Great Moor. The heather was at its peak, the sun just starting to creep below the horizon. The wispy clouds seemed to echo the patterns of heather and grass on the landscape with all the elements combining to create a wonderfully tranquil scene. What the camera has failed to record are the swarms of midges that drove me close to insanity whilst making this image!
