Staircase to the sea, Scarborough

​These steps down to the north beach of Scarborough are extremely photogenic at high tide - although you do have to take care of bigger seas! As is so often the case on the North Sea, there was some wonderfully metallic light soon after sunrise on this mid Summer's day which, combined with the long exposure, has given a somewhat ethereal feel to the image.
