Lightning strikes, the Giant’s Playground

Arriving late at an unfamiliar but wonderfully photogenic location, with a sky to die for, I had to work incredibly quickly and rely on instinct to make the most of my opportunity. If the last rays of sun illuminating the quiver trees were not enough, I was extremely fortunate to catch a bolt of lightning in one of my shots, perfectly positioned, to add that final touch to a truly memorable experience.
